About the Engineering Team:

The Role:
We are looking for a Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as translating the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application. You will also design the overall architecture of the web application and evolve it to ensure maximum performance and stability.
Responsibilities:
• Design of the overall architecture of the web application
• Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
• Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
• Understand business requirements and convert them into visual elements that can be represented in UI
• Develop new user-facing features
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
• Good understanding of Object Oriented JavaScript.
• The overall experience of 4-6 years with UI technologies (preferably in a E-commerce/Edutech Product company)
• Strong hands-on experience in any of these advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, Zepto, MooTools, etc.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git, Bitbucket etc.
• Familiarity with development aiding tools like Bower, Bundler, Rake, Gulp, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language Java
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs, desktop), and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Stylus, Less, Sass etc.
• Management of hosting UI environments like dev and testing
• administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Nice to have knowledge on server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS, Jinja, etc.
