• Apply technical knowledge, hands-on and customer insights to operate and administrate a cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS, AKS) using infrastructure-as-code tools like Helm charts, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications in a cloud-native environment.
• Work closely with network engineers to design and implement networking solutions, including VPCs, transit gateways, and network security groups.
• Manage and optimize the performance of the cloud infrastructure, including network performance.
• Implement and manage service mesh solutions like Istio, including Istio proxies and control planes.
• Configure and manage load balancers (L4 and L7) for efficient traffic distribution and high availability.
• Configure and manage Native WAF.
• Have good understanding on Cloud Migration and worked on cloud Migrations also.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to container networking, container runtime, and container network interfaces (CNI).
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and scalability.
• Support database technologies such as Cloud SQL, Amazon RDS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain secure cloud environments.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer or similar role.
• Strong expertise in AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes administration and management (GKE, EKS, AKS).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Helm charts, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including CIDR, load balancing, VPCs, and transit gateways.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Experience with container network interfaces (CNI) and container runtime environments.
• Experience with database technologies like Cloud SQL, Amazon RDS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and Kubernetes are a plus.
